Tonight’s Baked Steak
Note Ingredients are to taste (no measuring allowed!)
Hardware:
- Baking dish
- Oven thermometer
- Microwaveable bowl. ( I used a cereal bowl)
Software
- Steak for three people
- 1 large head of Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons prepared mustard.
- Small can mushrooms (drained)
- 1/4 cup Russian dressing
- 1/4 Soy Sauce
- 1/3 cup (three scoops) lemonade mix
- 1/2 teaspoon Sriracha chili sauce
- Sprinkle of olive oil
Break garlic onto cloves. Don’t worry about peeling them yet. Put into the microwave safe bowl and sprinkle them with olive oil. Microwave for up to one minute. Allow to cool to a temperature that will not burn your hands. Squeeze each of the cloves into the bottom of the baking dish. If you pinch them at this point, the garlic will slip out and the paper will stay attached to your fingers. Discard “paper” from the garlic.
Add the mushrooms to the garlic in the bottom of the dish and cover with the steak. Spread the mustard on the top of the stake. Pour/sprinkle the dressing, chili and Soy sauce onto the steak. Do not worry about getting it even. Sprinkle the lemonade on the steak. Insert your meat thermometer into the middle of the meat.
Bake at 350 until the steak is done. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Place steak pieces on the plate and garnish with mushrooms and baked garlic.
